Street Vendors in Tomang Barat Controlled

As much as 40 stalls of street vendors around Tomang Barat Market, Jl Tanjung Duren Raya, Tanjung Duren Selatan, Grogol Petamburan were successfully demolished. The effort was done as their presence merely made the area slum and crowded.

Tanjung Selatan Urban Village Head, Devi Riana Sumanthi acknowledged during the raid, her side has deployed 30 personnel Satpol PP with the help of Infrastructure and Public Facilities Handling (PPSU) officers.

No More Tolerance for Street Vendors, Ahok Says

Riana conveyed that mostly street vendors were food, soft drink as well as fruit sellers. During the raid, those street vendors were shifted not to sell on the verge road or sidewalks anymore.

“After being arranged, we give them form to open Bank DKI’s account. If they still neglect to make it, they won’t allow to sell here,” he asserted.
